Senior Engineering Manager (Enterprise)

About the Team

In the Miro Enterprise team, our goal is to empower large companies to use Miro as optimally as the smaller ones. This is vital because Miro is used by 99% of the Fortune 100! 

Envision Miro is being used by companies with over a hundred thousand users. This scale of work requires Miro to build an additional set of features: sophisticated security and compliance requirements, integrations with identity providers, user management and administration, data governance, and content lifecycle management. 

About the Role

As an engineering line manager you will support a team that is building features in one of our Enterprise domains. This team is working in a domain that works with large data pipelines and machine learning to identify and protect sensitive customer data. 

Each team at Miro has an Engineering Manager, a leader who helps the team be outstanding. Together with the team, they drive team outcomes, productivity and technical excellence. They are not expected to be experts of each subject matter, but they know how to choose the best management approach for reaching the team’s goals. Though this role begins with a small team of engineers (4-6), this person is expected to scale their team over the next year to help support additional use cases in the Enterprise domain.

As a leader, work composition is dependent on the current needs of the team. As long as you and your team are able to hit your goals, you are free to allocate more of your time to either the technical or management responsibilities. 

What you’ll do

People & team management

• Lead a team of 4-8 engineers (Frontend, Backend and QA) 
• Identify growth opportunities, monitor performance and well-being of team members
• Iterate on inter- and intra-team processes 

Technical 

• Contribute to achieving team’s goals through architecture design and code reviews
• Ensure high quality on all work including testing and observability 

Delivery 

• Partnership with Product Manager in planning team roadmap and backlog management
• Ensure the team’s delivery 
• Stakeholder and cross-team dependency management

What you’ll need

• 3+ years of experience managing teams 
• 7+ years of Software Engineering experience 
• Extensive experience in software development, including architecture
• Worked in international and diverse product-based companies and speak business English 
• Have excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills across several diverse technical and non-technical group
