Basic Job Functions:

The Quality Coordinator position works closely with the Quality Director in the maintenance, implementation, and improvement of the ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 based quality management system, as well as providing support for the overall safety and environmental management systems. The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to leading audits that review systems for conformance to required procedures, standards and/or customer specifications; managing calibration activities including records; assisting with supplier audits; assisting in the completion of PPAPs; maintaining automotive parts list and associated documentation; and ensuring MSA and/or process capability studies are complete for the assigned area. In addition, this position may assume some administrator duties, including payroll.

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or higher
  • CQA or CQT Professional Certification 
  • Three or more years experience with a formal Management System
