Position Summary 

Metrea Executive Aviation is currently seeking an Aviation Maintenance, Manager, Planning and Production Control, based out of our Tampa, Florida location (TPA). Reporting to the aircraft Director of Maintenance or Station Manager in their absence, the qualified individual will lead the Aircraft Planning & Production Control Department which is made up of Aircraft Maintenance Planners, Production Control Specialist and Production Analyst. This department will ensure efficient workflow plans, records retention, workload forecasting, scheduling, project quoting, maintaining staffing models, maintenance budget estimates, capacity planning, daily manpower utilization to include capturing billable hours for accurate customer billing. 

 

In addition, this individual works closely with other department leaders to coordinate and implement maintenance plans by communicating with Aircraft Records, Supply, Inventory Management, Finance, Vendors and Metrea Flight Operations. Daily activities will include leading and attending production meetings, processing work orders, updating maintenance tracking systems, reporting on KPI’s, coordinating schedules with Metrea Flight Operations and other managed aircraft customers.  

 

Role and Responsibilities 

  • Experience in the planning or production control disciplines with demonstrated knowledge in man-hour, material estimating and work package quotation. 
  • Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to Part 91,135 &145.  
  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of maintenance to include mechanical, structural and avionics systems, which facilitates a better understanding of maintenance planning.  
  • Previous experience estimating and developing aircraft maintenance quotes for a FAR Part 145 repair station.  
  • Creates Master Production Schedule and Forecasting Models to determine: 
    1. Yearly projected hangar capacity & demand. (Dock Planning) 
    2. Monthly staffing requirements, based upon demand. 
    3. Projected revenue models (Monthly & Yearly) 
    4. Forecasting monthly financials in support of aircraft in phase check(s) and maintenance expenditures associated with Aircraft Under Management. 
    5. Maintain and update defined KPI’s for Aircraft Maintenance Department. 
  • Tracking, monitoring and reporting performance of Aircraft Production team in relations to their maintenance plan and established KPI’s.

Skills and Experience 

  • Mastery of aviation maintenance vocabulary and acronyms. 
  • Advanced knowledge of MRB tasks, common aircraft maintenance schedules, flight hours or flight cycles common to aircraft manufactures maintenance programs. 
  • Experience with flowing, organizing and tracking BOWs while utilizing reporting systems to show real time status (Actuals vs. Plan) 
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 10 or more years of aviation experience in working in Production Control, Maintenance Planning, Aircraft Production to include Lione or Base Maintenance, or Scheduling.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Airfram & Powerlant License
