Active and existing security clearance required after day 1Strategic Defense Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer II to support the design, development, and validation of multi-domain Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) mission systems for aircraft and ground stations supporting U.S. military customers. In this role, you will be responsible for working with other systems, software, and hardware engineers to create solutions that are high quality, reliable and safe.
This position will be Onsite in Richardson, TX.
What You Will Do:
Capture, analyze, decompose, and trace system and subsystem requirements to ensure alignment with mission and customer needs
Contribute to system architecture, design, and modeling activities for complex hardware and software integrated systems
Develop system and subsystem verification strategies, including test procedures and validation activities
Support system integration and troubleshooting across hardware, software, and networked components
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, program management, quality, production, and business development to support program execution
Participate in technical reviews and contribute to internal and external stakeholder meetings

Qualifications You Must Have:
Requires a Master’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience developing, decomposing, and deriving system/sub-system requirements
Experience with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools
Experience in system/sub-system design definition
Experience with Agile development
