Protype Process Technician - Ditch Witch

What Will You Do? 

This role is on-site in the Product Development Lab, in Perry, Oklahoma.  This opportunity is not eligible for remote or hybrid work options at this time.   In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company - Ditch Witch Division, you will be responsible for: 

• Facilitate receiving process into Product Development, perform inspections to verify quality meets specification and quantity is accurate, and record in SAP.

• Identify pending supply interruption pro-actively and communicate appropriately.

• Create and process requisitions to complete prototype part orders.

• Use powered industrial equipment to move and deliver parts and containers.

• Ensure delivery of components in support of prototype build and rework.

• Execute inventory management processes that achieve departmental requirements.

• Maintain effective communication with other departments/customers to ensure information is shared in a timely manner.

• Identify and help implement opportunities that encourage continuous improvement.

• Provide technical guidance and support to individuals within the area of the business assigned to support.

• Provide training to new team members as needed.

What Do You Need? 

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent and more than 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area

• Forklift experience and/or certification

• Able to regularly handle items weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally handle items weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Demonstrate appropriate reading, clerical, and basic math skills.

• Proficient in personal computer application (Word, Excel, SAP, etc.).

• Demonstrate good verbal and written communications skills including a professional, self-confident image.

• Have a good work record of safety, self-motivation, judgment, and productivity.

• Work well with others in a rapidly changing, multiple-deadline environment.

Other Job Related Components:  

• Office environment part of the time, plant environment part of the time.  Plant environment includes variable heat and humidity, dirt, and noise; physical hazards such as powered vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, moving machinery, and materials handling; hazardous materials such as fuels, oils, grease, and paint.

• Dynamic work environment with frequently changing workloads and priorities.

• Typical 9 hour work days, but can be less or more, with work on different shifts and weekends when necessary.
