KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Speech Therapist provides skilled pathology service on an intermittent basis to patients in their homes in accordance with the physicians' orders.
Qualifications
- Help optimize the capital structure and support strategic initiatives.
- One must be able to hear adequately on the telephone with no more than an amplifier and be able to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
- Maintains the agencys mission, philosophy, and core values.
- Adheres to dress code, appearance is neat and clean, wears identification while on duty.
- Reports to work on time and/or as scheduled.
- Ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures regarding operations/processes, including but not limited to those regarding patient care, patient complaints, incidents, safety, and emergency management.
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures regarding infection prevention, control, standard precautions, and infection identification reporting.
- Always maintains patient confidentiality, including all HIPAA regulations.
Regulatory Requirements
- Licensed or registered in the state in which candidate works.
- Must pass a criminal background check & MVR check.
- Completed health statements acknowledging the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Proof of current automobile insurance.
- Current CPR card; On-line CPR certification accepted; Hands-on CPR certification preferred.
- TB testing per agency policy.
Industry experience
- Experience in a Home Health Care or Hospice setting preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of general therapy theory and practice and able to work independently.
EDUCATION:
- A Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology with a bachelors degree in the field of Speech
