The SF Fed Financial Management (FM) team is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support a team who services all Business Units throughout the District. Reporting to the Manager, Procurement Operations & Projects, help the group provide support to Ariba Procurement users, act as the Bank’s purchasing agent, perform tasks related to the vendor management program and be a liaison to the National Procurement Office (NPO).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight of the Bank’s vendor management program. Enter tiering risk assessment information, review exclusionary criteria for new suppliers, and help monitor completion of required program tasks by Business Unit vendor management participants. Support the implementation of System tools and changes to the System Vendor Management Framework.
  • Provide support to the national category management program led by the NPO.
  • Process orders for non-contracted goods such as furniture, software and licenses and security hardware equipment.
  • Monitor receipt and payment of goods and resolve any related issues with requesters, receiving staff, suppliers, business requesters, and accounting team members.
  • Provide support to SAP Ariba procurement users. Consult with subject matter experts within the District or System level as needed to resolve problems. Participate in periodic maintenance or update projects in Ariba.
  • Assist with the administration of the Bank’s Purchasing Card program.
  • Establish business partner relationships with internal partners and the National Procurement Office to drive sourcing strategies, understand project plans, and deliver acquisition solutions.
  • Provide efficient and high-quality customer service for all internal and external customer requests.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Uses sophisticated and/or broad data analysis to support decisions on group operations, strategic planning, and business issues
  • Develops forecasts, insights, recommendations, future needs, and strategic and/or tactical plans based on business data and knowledge of business processes/operations
  • Prepares and evaluates new or alternative business workflows; participates on and may lead implementation of those workflows
  • Partners with key stakeholders, sometimes including external parties, to assess and address internal needs and to model the outcome of potential business strategies
  • Participates on and may lead team projects/programs to address business issues; project manage ongoing initiatives via meeting management, document organization, and follow ups. Partners with cross-functional leaders to ensure successful project/program completion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Typically, 5+ years relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of clients to which the group provides products/services, as necessary
  • Experience working independently to complete projects
  • Experience collecting, transforming, analyzing, and reporting complex data to drive business decisions
  • Experience working cross-functionally to meet internal and/or external stakeholder needs
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Project management experience a plus
  • May require proficiency in visualization software e.g., Tableau
  • Experience in programming languages such as R, Python, etc. may be preferred
  • May be required to have proficiency in MS Project Manager, Visio, Access, SQL, databases or similar

Base Salary Range: Min: $97,600 - Mid: $126,800 - Max: $155,900 (Location: San Francisco)

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data
