Job Title: Apple Dumping Operator
Location: Nampa, ID
This position will be for B- Shift running from Sunday- Tuesday and every other Wednesday 7 AM- 7 PM. This shift is eligible for a $2.00 differential.
Job Summary:
As a Dump Room Operator for Materne North America, you will be responsible for sorting raw materials and loading materials needed for our manufacturing process.
Position Responsibilities:
- Receive apples form Supply Chain
- Inspect apples to ensure they meet company specifications and reject apples that don’t meet specifications
- Operate industrial pallet jack/power handcart/actuating forklift in a safe manner to load apples into robot staging area
- Operate high-speed manufacturing equipment through touchscreen/HMI
- Set up recipes and adjust apple blends
- Perform troubleshooting and basic maintenance of equipment (clean filters, clearing jams)
- Clean apple dumping area and sanitize equipment
- Complete daily paperwork and reports
- Must work a minimum of 12 hours
- Responsible to support a food safety and food quality culture
- Demonstrate the Company’s values and winning behaviors while adhering to all company policies and practices, including safety and environmental protocols, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for an entire shift (12 hours)
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to walk up & down stairs multiple times per shift
Education:
- High school diploma or GED Preferred
- Technical/trade school preferred
Experience:
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Previous experience working in the food industry is preferred
- Previous experience operating industrial carts and a forklift is preferred
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate (verbal, read, write) effectively in English
- Computer skills (data entry & experience with an ERP system in a production environment preferred)
- Basic math skills, including competency with weights and measures (must be able to take/record measurements and understand tare weight)
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to Operate industrial pallet jack/power handcart/actuating forklift in a safe manner and obtain forklift certification
