Reporting to the Executive Director Accounting &amp; Tax, and working closely with the Director of Tax, you will oversee and execute tax operations activities. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, focusing on indirect tax compliance, process optimization, and team leadership.</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>About your tasks:</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee the preparation and review of VAT returns, VAT refunds, and other indirect tax filings within the EU region</li><li>Maintain compliance with indirect taxes, including monitoring and control activities on transactions and master data</li><li>Initiate and drive process optimization initiatives related to taxes, including automation projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders</li><li>Provide guidance on critical indirect tax matters, including training finance colleagues</li><li>Serve as the control owner for internal controls within the tax operations area</li><li>Support the Director of Tax in maintaining effective relationships with external advisors</li><li>Lead a team of approximately three colleagues, providing guidance and support</li><li>Process and integrate payroll administration output into the financial accounting system and ensure accuracy in payroll-related financial accounts</li></ul><p><strong>About you:</strong></p><ul><li>International tax experience, with a focus on indirect tax compliance; experience with corporate income tax is preferred</li><li>Experience in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Proficiency in English, with a combination of Dutch or German being a must</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail</li><li>Experience mentoring and developing at least one direct report</li><li>Excellent organizational and planning skills, including task prioritization and effective time management</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong>About your benefits:</strong><br/> In order to provide you with the best possible support for your individual needs – whether it’s living a healthy life, having enough time for your needs or developing your skills – we offer a wide range of different site-specific benefits:</p><ul><li><strong>Mobility</strong>: Not all employees live close to our office.
