About this role 

Aladdin Data – Data Implementations is responsible for the implementation of data and analytics solutions for BlackRock businesses and Aladdin clients. 

The Aladdin Data platform and services are designed to deliver industry leading investment data and risk analytics content to the Aladdin community, including BlackRock as the largest client.  The primary users include investors, risk managers, compliance officials, investment operations and technology teams for broader organization applications.  We are proud to supply the data products and solutions to meet the evolving needs of portfolio management, risk and performance analysis, investment compliance, regulatory reporting, client reporting and beyond. 

Our Data Implementation team of data solutions specialists covers end-to-end Aladdin data flows from vendor and client input data sets transformed and enriched into security, portfolio, benchmark, and financial analytics outputs for new and expanding Aladdin clients. The team works directly with clients (including BlackRock) and internal partner teams to understand client dependencies, business objectives and custom use cases to ensure Aladdin’s data and analytics are effectively enhanced, deployed, and adopted across each function and organization. 

Successful Aladdin data implementation specialists develop and excel in many cross-functional skills including client communication, project management, business analysis as well as hands-on data analysis and technology system configuration. Role Description: 

This role is specifically focused on implementing new businesses within BlackRock’s own Aladdin environment. In this role, the successful candidate will play a major role in helping build out Aladdin risk and analytics for BlackRock’s Private Financing Solutions (PFS) business unit, including investment teams from HPS, recently acquired by BlackRock. The successful candidates will contribute to or be directly responsible for one or multiple projects under the PFS umbrella, across all data domains and capabilities. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Drive client engagement, scope of work review, requirements collection and project planning for the data, risk and analytics workstream of new risk reporting capabilities for PFS business users. 

• Manage data workstream progress and communications with internal clients and partners to ensure successful delivery of critical milestones along the project plan. 

• Collaborate with other BlackRock investment, technology, and data professionals to ensure alignment and clarity of data scope, mapping, normalization, and implementation approaches. 

• Educate and guide internal users on Aladdin data conventions and target state data management workflows inclusive of on-site training for client data teams. 

• Help enhance Aladdin learn to ‘speak’ the private credit language – meaning, participate in product development work designed to enhance Aladdin and its models to better support investment professionals investing in private credit investments. 

• Work with front-office and investment professionals to configure investment portfolio structure, benchmark assignments, and establish proper risk analytics deliverables.
