NOTE: This role is hybrid and requires 4 days a week in our Phoenix, AZ office.

The SVP, Insurance reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and is accountable for setting the strategy and leading the execution of MWG’s insurance business. This includes all activities from strategic planning, marketing, analytics, carrier management, product offerings, experience standards, and relationship management with key partners in channels and sales. With a goal of creating Members for Life, the role will focus on policyholder acquisition, retention, and the delivery of exceptional experiences across sales and service touchpoints. This leader will be keenly focused on delivery of results through all owned and paid acquisition channels and by partnering with peers leading our branch, call center, and digital channels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Strategy and Leadership

    • Develops and leads enterprise-wide multi-year strategy (3+ years) for Insurance that builds the foundation for long-term business growth.

    • Manage complex and changing business needs; evaluates market and industry data, trends, and determines tradeoffs.

    • Partners with leaders across various Business Units, Sales/Service, and Corporate functions to define and influence enterprise-wide priorities, investment decisions, and alignment of resources to long-term business objectives.

    • Crafts overall business strategy that delivers against MWG’s insurance business line goals.

  • Marketing & Acquisitions

    • Identifies and develops comprehensive acquisition and retention strategies across target segments.

    • Develops and executes marketing strategy and budget including digital, direct mail, print, TV, Outdoor, radio and other campaigns that will drive support policyholder acquisition.

    • Drives results through analysis of acquisition and retention programs, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency of spend and returns.

  • Operations & Partnership Management

    • Partners with channel operators (branch, call center, digital) to execute and improve acquisition and retention programs and act as a collaborator for channel business planning.

    • Effectively manages external vendor relationships, including insurance carriers, marketing agencies, and support services.

    • Manages and optimizes budget to deliver against lead generation goals using advanced analytic tools.

  • Team Leadership & Organizational Culture

    • Develops and engages the insurance team to achieve high performance results with a focus on developing the next generation of leaders.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability to set long-term strategy, navigate ambiguity, and make high-impact decisions using incomplete information.

  • Proven executive influence and enterprise partnership skills to align priorities, investments, and long-term growth

  • Proven leadership ability in articulating and executing on marketing strategy, with an ability to influence/energize others to drive change.

  • Strong customer-focused perspective and understanding of how marketing fits into the broader business model.

  • Bilingual communication skills (preferred)Proven ability to deliver business results in a competitive environment

  • Knowledge of segmentation, targeting, modeling, controlled testing and ROI analysis
