The Senior Technology and Cybersecurity Risk Professional defines the standard for Humana’s cybersecurity and technology-related risk management approach, and identifies and reports on related risk. The Senior Technology and Cybersecurity Risk Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
The Senior Technology and Cybersecurity Risk Professional works with leaders within IT and across the company to select cybersecurity and technology frameworks with which to manage and measure Humana’s cybersecurity and technology risk posture. Designs, develops, and performs information security and technology risk assessments based on defined intervals and threat landscape. Develops and oversees the cybersecurity and technology-related risk management initiatives, programs, and projects for Humana. Key risks are reported into risk management processes, to improve visibility and decision-making. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead technology risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact business objectives and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Evaluate IT and Cybersecurity process in terms of risk to the organization and suggest ways to mitigate risk
- Develop and implement risk assessment standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms and diverse systems environment.
- Coordinate with different functional teams to ensure that IT practices comply with the overall risk and security framework.
- Support the IT assessment process and work with risk stakeholders to understand and mitigate IT risk.
- Provide lessons learned and guidance to the team and promote risk management awareness across IT.
- Provides input into mapping our risk assessment outcomes and metrics to our risk model enabling us to get better profile/coverage of risks.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related field.
- Strong understanding of information security principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of common cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT risk management, IT audit or IT security.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Preferred
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or CISA are preferred.
