Responsible for advising the South Shore Health and their staff on their legal obligations and options, while ensuring compliance with the law. Conducts and facilitates the contract management and tracking functions, and represents the Company’s interests in various transactions. Works closely with the Compliance team and staff outside the legal department. Drafts and reviews agreements, supports transactional work, conducts legal research, and legal and business communications, and performs special projects as requested.

Minimum Education - Preferred

Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
Current license to practice law in Massachusetts

Minimum Work Experience

A minimum of one (1) years of practicing business law preferred. Specific experience in business contracting and acquisitions preferred.  Experience in healthcare law a plus.

Required additional Knowledge, and Abilities

Solid knowledge of regulatory compliance as it pertains to client server contracts, vendor agreements and or physician contracting is highly desired.
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
Exceptional written and oral communications skills and the ability to interact within all levels of the organization.
Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Demonstrated judgment and discretion.
