Job Duties
This position serves as the primary Supervisor for VCBR Trainer & Staff Development team. This position will be responsible for new hire training and appropriate onboarding activities; auditing all training classes as overseen by Training & Staff Development; maintaining and updating a VCBR Training Program Binder; developing new training as requested; ensuring ongoing supervisory training and implementation of a Supervisory Training Program; developing and implementing new annual trainings; conducts an annual Learning Needs Assessment; ensuring all regulations are followed to train CPR and first aid through American Heart; ensuring all TOVA Trainers are certified and have completed annual requirements; assists staff in the use of the Knowledge Center, becoming an administrator for VCBR; developing training based upon Adult Learning Theory and ensuring use of scenario-based trainings as well as use of a variety of exercises designed to engage adult learners. This position is require to become a CPR Trainer, TOVA and Advanced TOVA Trainer, and a Training Instructor for CPR, TOVA and Advanced TOVA. Builds strong collaborative relationship and partnerships with Agency Leadership and Central Office Training & Staff Development staff. Assists with specialized training such as ERT Training, Driver Training and any other training deemed necessary by the facility.
Minimum Qualifications
• Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory, principles and methods, compliance training, curriculum design, conducting training needs assessments, and training evaluation methodology.
• Knowledge of organizational development strategies.
• Ability to gather, analyze data, and prepare technical reports pertaining to training requirements, development, and delivery.
• Ability to supervise staff, learning programs, and develop, manage and administer budgets.
• Skilled in delivering training to diverse audiences in varying formats to include classroom or blended learning (on-line and classroom).
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with diverse audiences and to make presentations and conduct meetings.
• Ability to work with management, teams and employees at all levels with an organization and support and facilitate organizational change initiatives.
• This position must be able to work alternative shifts occasionally.
• This position may require occasional travel.
Additional Considerations
Experience with use of the MBTI and Emotional Intelligence measures preferred. Graduation from an accredited college or university with major coursework in education, psychology, nursing or other related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training & experience which indicates possession of the preceding knowledge may substitute for formal education. Experience teaching adult learners preferred
