Job Description
Maintain and operate the Classified and Unclassified data centers that house the server farm. Maintain and operate SANs and supporting components. Provide performance capacity planning, management, operations, and maintenance of SAN equipment and services. Provide storage utilization, performance reporting, trending, and management capabilities. Provide Enterprise systems administration and operating system support for file, print, and common-user application servers, server farms/banks, including hardware monitoring. Install, configure, maintain VMware vSphere in load/capacity analysis, trend monitoring, resource utilization, systems analysis, automated systems design, system development cycles and concepts, and information processing standards and methods. Monitor and maintain appropriate Cybersecurity controls and ensure Operational Security requirements are in accordance with the established performance standards. Maintain all aspects of PRTG Network Monitor, the SCCM and SCOM Enterprise Management System to include SCCM Infrastructure, SCCM Administrator console, Software/Hardware Inventory, Software Distribution, SCOM Infrastructure, SCOM Administrator and Operator Consoles and SCOM monitoring and alerting. Manage SQL databases; install/configure Windows Server operating systems on HP Blade servers hosting SCCM suite, SCOM product suite, and Microsoft SQL databases. Provide hardware, software, and network support to track, audit, and resolve issues. Troubleshoot and analyze web, SharePoint portal, SCCM, WSUS, and a wide-range of specific server (functions/configurations) to ensure reliability. Design and implement new Websites and SharePoint portals as directed. Maintain and document RNEC-Aberdeen current static and dynamic web portals/applications using standard programming languages. Develop, deploy, and maintain web-based applications. Configure and maintain Microsoft Office SharePoint Services for creating, managing and sharing documents and Web services to enable users to use shared workspaces other documents accessible through a Web browser. Maintain all aspects of the NetApp NAS, and Enterprise Virtual Arrays (EVA) within a SAN. Maintain control and access of data storage, space allocation, and device usage for authorized users; analyze file organization and database structure, taking action as required to eliminate deficiencies; set alarms and report unauthorized access attempts/intrusions, correct weaknesses/vulnerabilities, and document permission violations at local, group, or global level.
Qualifications
3+ years experience in systems administration. Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired. Must be Security+ CE certified. Must hold or be able to obtain a Microsoft certification. Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems. Experience with SCCM/SCOM, Powershell, and Symantec Net Backup. Experience working in a physical and virtual environment. Knowledge of VMWare vCenter ESX. Extensive experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF). Experience with MS Internet Information Server (IIS). Proficient with NAS, Remedy ITSM, Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET, and object-oriented programming. Experience with SQL and T-SQL scripting. Able to adapt to the customer environment and develop an understanding of the business. Comfortable interacting heavily with clients and end users to assess current state of systems and architecture, as well as future needs. Attitude, adaptability, and ability to learn are paramount. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
