What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. The Corporate Sustainability Manager is accountable for the end-to-end delivery, operational integrity and continuous improvement of Amgen’s sustainability data, reporting, and technology enablement efforts. The role requires strong influence across Audit, Digital Technology & Innovation, Finance, and business functions, as well as capability-building to elevate sustainability data ownership and control maturity across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the finalization, implementation, and operationalization of the Corporate Sustainability data hub, with full accountability for delivery, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead end-to-end implementation and ongoing administration of regulatory sustainability reporting software, ensuring regulatory alignment, data integrity, and user adoption.
  • Maintain and evolve sustainability technology platforms to ensure scalability, effective controls, and alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Apply AI and automation solutions to improve the efficiency and scalability of Corporate Sustainability processes.
  • Lead the development and execution of a technology-focused controls roadmap and related documentation to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Proactively identify data, process, system, and regulatory risks, and design and implement mitigation strategies and preventive controls.
  • Partner with Internal Audit, DTI, and Finance to align systems, controls, and documentation.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to collect, validate, and manage sustainability data for reporting purposes.
  • Manage external consultants supporting sustainability technology initiatives.
  • Support the external audit of Amgen’s sustainability data.
  • Monitor and respond to ESG rating agencies.
  • Conduct peer benchmarking to inform internal analysis and strategic decisions.
  • Coordinate and respond to ESG surveys.
