Job Title: Regional Sales Manager
Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and growing a multi-market territory by developing strong, profitable relationships with automotive dealership partners. This role drives application volume, portfolio growth, and market expansion while ensuring exceptional service standards across all assigned regions. The Regional Sales Manager also provides strategic direction, supports team collaboration, and ensures consistent execution of company initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management & Leadership
Regional Dealership Oversight
● Serve as the senior point of contact for key dealership relationships within the region. ● Management of assigned dealership portfolios to ensure consistent growth and engagement. ● Build and maintain long-term, high-value partnerships with dealership owners, managers, and staff.
● Ensure dealership profiles, contacts, and preferences are accurately maintained in CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot).
● Monitor and support dealer-specific programs, schedules, and operational preferences. Field Presence & Market Coverage
● Establish and maintain a strategic visitation schedule across the region.
● Conduct in-person dealership visits for onboarding, training, performance improvement, and relationship development.
● Travel within the region as needed to support market growth and partner success. Team Collaboration & Support
● Partner cross-functionally with Underwriting, Funding, and Operations to ensure seamless dealer experience.
● Provide mentorship, guidance, and backup support to Area Sales Managers and team members. ● Promote alignment and best practice sharing across markets.
Communication & Escalation Management
● Ensure all dealership interactions, meetings, and follow-ups are accurately documented in CRM systems.
● Communicate updates to policies, tools, and procedures clearly and consistently across the region.
● Manage escalations effectively, ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder alignment.
Dealership Training & Development
Onboarding & Enablement
● Oversee and support onboarding of new dealership partners, including virtual and in-person training.
● Ensure dealerships fully understand and adopt company systems, tools, and processes. ● Monitor onboarding effectiveness and follow up to drive engagement and satisfaction.
Performance Management & Growth
● Establish clear performance goals and expectations for dealership partners. ● Analyze dealership performance and provide actionable coaching to improve results. ● Deliver ongoing education and reinforce best practices to optimize dealership success.
Follow-Up & Pipeline Management
● Ensure timely follow-up on all outstanding dealership items including agreements, titles, refunds, and contracts.
● Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in systems such as HubSpot and LOS platforms. ● Drive accountability for timely completion of all critical tasks.
Operations, Analytics & Market Expansion
Performance Monitoring & Insights
● Leverage tools such as Power BI and internal analytics to evaluate regional and dealership performance.
● Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, and implement data-driven strategies to improve outcomes.
● Regularly report on regional performance metrics and growth initiatives.
Market Development & Expansion
● Develop and execute strategies to grow the region through new dealership acquisition. ● Generate and pursue leads via inbound channels, outbound prospecting, and industry networking.
● Expand market presence through cold calls, email campaigns, internet inquiries, and referral channels.
● Identify high-potential opportunities and drive strategic partnerships.
