Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring an Entry or Associates Level (Level 1 or 2) Structural Analysis Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama, New Orleans, Louisiana, or Titusville, Florida.

Position Responsibilities

  • Supports the development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design.

  • Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.

  • Supports product design and structural verification integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.

  • Supports the development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.

  • Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.

  • Works under close or general supervision

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Entry, Level 1: Typically, a bachelors or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

  • Associates, Level 2: Typically, 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Aeronautical)

  • Experience in aerospace stress analysis

  • Experience with Engineering classification such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • Experience with Fatigue or Durability Analysis.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Shift:

This is a 1st shift position.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Entry, Level, 1 Summary pay range: $ 71,400 - $ 96,600

Associate, Level 2 Summary pay range: $ 83,300 - $ 112,700
