The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) is a state agency that provides highway safety and security through excellence in service, education, and enforcement. FLHSMV’s Office of Communications is seeking applicants for a Career Service Marketing and Social Media Manager. The Marketing and Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and implementing public safety campaigns and social media marketing strategies that reflect the Department’s mission, vision, and values.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of social media platforms.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products and creative editing (mobile or desktop) programs.
- Knowledge of social media and marketing strategies
- Ability to compose written communication for statewide public safety campaigns and social media platforms
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Skill in planning, organizing, and coordinating work assignments in a timely manner.
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders, partners, and vendors to enhance brand visibility and maximize reach
- Ability to work with a team to curate content and develop strategies to promote community awareness and education
Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
- Experience using My Florida Marketplace, Microsoft Office, Excel, Canva, Hootsuite, Adobe Creative or other mobile or desktop editing programs, and Teams.
