JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Maintain professionalism in dress and language at all times.

- Be prepared (site location, site contact information and equipment necessary provided by the YMCA).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Create and maintain current lesson plans for Expanded Learning Opportunity (ELO) performed that will include physical activity/sport skill progression and development, all QIS components and SPARK concepts.
- Facilitate and maintain a strong rapport with afterschool site directors and staff.
- Deliver quality programming to afterschool sites and youth in Palm Beach County
ELO Instructors are responsible for each of the following:
- Contacting each site director prior to the ELO to ensure a seamless delivery of programming.
- Arriving on premises at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the scheduled ELO session.
- The successful maintenance of the daily ELO attendance process.
- Picking up and dropping off all ELO equipment to the YMCA before and after each ELO
- Keeping all equipment provided in good and working condition. Reporting any malfunctioning issues with equipment in a timely manner to ensure safety and replacement.
- Reporting any issue, i.e.: ELO cancellation, reschedule or site difficulty as soon as possible to YMCA staff.
- Submitting social media content at each ELO, i.e.: photo and or video
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Desire and ability of work with youth K-5th grade
- Must be CPR/AED certified
- Must carry their own personal liability insurance, having the YMCA listed as the additional insured.
- Must complete Palm Beach County School District Level 2 Background Check
- Must comply with Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting Requirements.
- Must attend a minimum of one Prime Time Professional Development training annually.
- Must attend all staff meetings and respond to all other communications in a timely manner.
- Must complete QIS training.
