Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Access Attendant in Plant City, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal team member assigned to an access control post in a retail distribution environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points and conducting routine patrols throughout the location. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere while supporting a secure environment for staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity.
• Assist with controlling and documenting the movement of vehicles and/or deliveries at entry and exit points.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and vendors to address inquiries or provide directions as needed.
• Complete required reports and logs accurately, documenting observations and actions taken during the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
