You are a motivated, driven, committed, and analytical individual who will join our team as a Senior Manager of Accounting. This is a hands-on role on a dynamic team. In this role you will work directly with various stakeholders, including external advisors, to deliver accurate and timely results within a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. You will have exposure to a variety of facets within finance, accounting and taxation, while continuing to help drive process improvements. You will report directly to our Senior Director, Accounting and will be leading a team of 1-2 accountants.This role is based remotely within the Eastern time zone of the United States.

The opportunity
Manage the monthly accounting close including our international subsidiaries, prepare monthly variance analytics as part of the closing process and analyze expense trends for appropriateness
Analyze monthly departmental expense accruals & reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts; high interaction with various cross functional departments
Manage financial statement audits (including statutory audits) and income tax filing processes through compilation, quality control of reports and active coordination with auditors and tax preparers
Perform accounting research and assist in drafting white papers, lead/execute on special projects/ad-hoc requests as needed
Handle complex accounting issues; including accounting for internally developed software costs, stock-based compensation, lease accounting, asset impairment analysis
Routinely assess effectiveness of processes and internal controls to identify risks to financial statement inaccuracies and improvement to strengthen controls

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, 7+ years work experience in public & private accounting, preferably Big 4, CPA or CPA track
Thorough understanding of GAAP - ideal candidate is familiar with GAAP codification and comfortable navigating accounting concepts through to operational accounting
Strong analytical and accounting skills - can spot inaccuracies and potential issues through analytical reviews and self-review
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Netsuite ERP required, exposure to equity management platforms (i.e Carta, ShareWorks)
Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel required, experience with Google’s suite of products (Gmail, Drive, Sheets)
Sharp attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment, ability to work independently and with a team to deliver against specific close related expectations and deadlines
