Consultative Offerings, Government & Public Services – Summer Scholar – Actuarial 

 

Join Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice as a Summer Scholar and help organizations address complex challenges that matter. In this role, you will work alongside teams supporting transformation initiatives, improving performance, and helping clients generate measurable value. Work you'll do 

As a Summer Scholar in our Government & Public Services practice, you will be an integral member of a client service team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to help solve multidimensional problems, improve performance, and generate value for our clients. You can capitalize on our cross-industry presence to find your niche and build your individual brand within the organization.

Setting our people up for success is a priority, and we are currently recruiting Actuarial Summer Scholars whose skills and interests align with the below description: 

Actuarial Summer Scholar 

  • This Summer Scholar builds financial and mathematical models to improve organizational performance and support client decision-making. Analyzes large data sets using statistical methods to quantify risk and interpret trends. Advises clients on complex business problems by translating data-driven insights into actionable recommendations, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Pursuing actuarial credentials through the Society of Actuaries, Casualty Actuarial Society, and/or the Joint Board for Enrollment of Actuaries.

Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice serves government agencies, higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, and other public sector organizations. Teams work across strategy, operations, technology, and transformation efforts to help clients improve mission outcomes and organizational performance. Professionals in the practice have opportunities to build specialized experience while working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. 

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer 2028 pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a
