Intern Sales Associate

THE ROLE

As an Intern Sales Associate, you will learn to work with the sales team to reach specific sales targets and achieve market growth goals set by the sales team. Intern Sales associates will learn and assist in the implementation of various sales campaigns and initiatives set by UCS. Intern Sales associates will learn to be ready to answer any questions from customers and assist in customer needs. 

This position will predominantly be an onsite role with onsite training accompanied by in-field learning. Intern sales associates will report directly to sales leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities to Be Learned

• Assist customers in selecting equipment to meet their needs and preferences
• Provide product knowledge and information to customers
• Process sales quotes and orders while working with office administration to see the order through the sales process
• Work with regional territory manager to grow and develop sales market in the region 
• Research and generate new leads and potential markets 
• Build and maintain customer relations.  

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Technical
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook 
• Willing to learn CRM systems for order management.
• Personal: 
• Strong interpersonal, written, communication and organization skills with the willingness to work with outside professionals including but not limited to; athletic directors, coaches, athletes, facilities directors, and other various admin positions.
• Self-starter, driven and lifelong learner with personal qualities of integrity, credibility, hands-on strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills that allow for potential market growth. 
• Be able to communicate verbally and virtually with customers 
• Ability to work independently and cohesively within a team environment
