Job Description Summary

Responsible for both strategic planning and day to day management of complex and broad range of projects conducted with collaborators both internal and external to University. Take leadership role in developing study protocols, writing grants, managing the detailed operations of projects, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, cultivating close relationships with community partner organizations, and drafting/editing manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journal.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop study protocols, writing grants, managing the detailed operations of projects, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and drafting/editing manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journal

  • Participate and supervise teams of Research Specialists carrying out animal studies

  • Assist in developing the team's research strategy, lead projects and co-author papers

  • Co-supervises teams of Research Specialists carrying out animal studies, as well as performing animal studies. Develops and oversees IACUC protocols for multiple studies

  • Oversee lab's regulatory compliance, equipment maintenance, inventory and ordering as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, and 5 to 7 years or Master of Science, Master of Arts, and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Position is contingent upon continued funding.
