A Day in the Life
As an Equipment Maintenance Technician III, you’ll bring advanced hands-on technical expertise to support, repair, and enhance manufacturing equipment. This role has a strong emphasis on welding, fabrication, and mechanical system modification, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a highly hands-on, problem-solving environment.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Perform installation, preventative maintenance, and repair of manufacturing and plant equipment
- Diagnose equipment failures and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and electronic systems
- Perform welding (TIG/MIG) and fabrication to repair, modify, or build equipment components, fixtures, guards, and structural elements
- Fabricate custom parts and tooling to support production and continuous improvement initiatives using CNC machines (BPT Machine)
- Modify or redesign mechanical systems and equipment to improve reliability, safety, and performance
- Replace defective components and restore equipment functionality with minimal downtime
- Interpret and work from schematics, blueprints, and fabrication drawings
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, welding records (as applicable), and repair documentation
- Utilize a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic/test equipment
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions
- Estimate labor, materials, and equipment costs; support procurement through requisition processes
Must-Have: Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 4 years of related work experience
Nice to Have - Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with welding and fabrication in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Technical certification in welding, fabrication, industrial maintenance, or related field
- Experience with TIG and MIG welding (stainless steel and/or aluminum preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and weld symbols
- Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment in a regulated environment (medical device, pharma, aerospace, etc.)
- Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, or automated systems
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
