What You'll Be Doing:

Partner with Supply Chain Management to collaborate and manage our suppliers through proof-of-concept, EV, DV, and PV seeking opportunities to reduce hardware development and unit costs

Partner with Technical Project Management to track timelines, burn down risks, and seek opportunities in features and timing

Collaborate with Telematics Subject Matter Experts, Systems Engineering, and Architecture teams within Cruise and GM to drive the requirements definition, analysis, development and documentation of component technical specifications and validating their integration into the broader functional system requirements

Collaborate with Product, Safety, Reliability, Security, and Legal stakeholders to ensure that the product meets all regulatory requirements

Collaborate with Electrical Engineering, Embedded Software, Mechanical Engineering to ensure that the technical implementation fulfills the requirements and drive technical risks and issues to solution
What you must have:
-
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
-
8+ years of postgraduate experience with developing telematics, networking, and infotainment hardware

5+ years experience bridging the gap between Mechanical, Electrical, and Embedded Software Engineering disciplines
-
5+ years experience working with and managing relationships with domestic and international manufacturers in CM, ODM, and JDM models.

Automotive experience with ISO26262, AEC-Q100/200, and associated EMC and Environmental compliance
-
Technical expert in state-of-the-art SoCs, network switch and PHY ICs, cellular modems, and WLAN chipsets that comprise the architecture of telematics gateways and control units

Design and certification experience with wireless communication standards and chipsets; LTE/WCDMA/GSM, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, WiGig, V2X, VoIP/VoLTE, and GNSS
-
Excellent project management and supply chain management skills and tool experience

Experience with developing telematics solutions with automotive tier 1 suppliers

Familiarity with eCall, ERA-GLONASS, GM OnStar, or Ford Sync emergency services

Fluent in Mandarin
The salary range for this position is $156,400 - 230,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
