YOU WILL BE: 

As the Manager, Category Growth, you are responsible for the strategic development and execution of online category plans to drive sales, profitability, and customer journeys within your assigned product categories on neimanmarcus.com. This role encompasses a deep understanding of the online customer journey, market trends, competitive landscape, and merchandising best practices. The Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with brand marketing, Cross Category Commerce, and technology teams to optimize the online product assortment and presentation. They will be accountable for achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue growth, conversion rates, average order value, and margin targets for their categories. This individual will also be responsible for analyzing performance data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing data-driven strategies to enhance the online customer experience and maximize business results.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Develop and Execute Category Strategies: Partner with leaders to create and implement comprehensive ecommerce category strategies aligned with overall business objectives and revenue targets. This includes defining assortment guardrails and site merchandising requirements

  • Manage Online Product Assortment: Optimize the product catalog to drive productivity by ensuring a compelling and relevant assortment for customers. This includes managing product assortment guidelines, imagery optimization, taxonomy and refinement review, data accuracy, and ongoing sales performance analysis. Partner with ISU and/or merchants to implement necessary changes.

  • Analyze Performance and Identify Opportunities: Analyze digital KPIs (e.g., Revenue, Visits, Conversion, AOV), customer behavior, and competitive insights to identify trends and provide weekly performance summaries with actionable insights and execution follow-through

  • Develop and Execute Online Merchandising Plans: Execute online merchandising strategies to improve product discovery, conversion, and customer experience, ensuring site presentation and storytelling align with customer needs and brand positioning. Partner with merchants and cross category team to support in-season agility.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with internal teams including buying, planning , marketing, and digital experience to ideate and ensure seamless execution of category plans and address any roadblocks.

  • Manage marketing priorities to capture and prioritize key brand and category investments partnering with marketing and cross category teams to leverage this data to drive merchandising decisions

  • Optimize the Online Customer Experience: Focus on continuously improving the online customer journey within the categories, ensuring intuitive navigation, informative product content, and a seamless purchasing process.

  • Conducts business meetings with internal partners to review in-season business performance and adjust any future business strategies as needed

  • Stay Informed of Industry Trends: Keep abreast of the latest ecommerce trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the company's online category strategies remain innovative and competitive.

  • Lead and manage a specialist by providing direction and support in responsibility and execution

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in category management, preferably within an ecommerce environment. Experience in retail buying, merchandising, or digital marketing can also be valuable.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, E-commerce, or a related field.

  • A proven track record of successfully translating and executing category strategies that drive sales and profitability online.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, customer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscapes to identify
