Position Description:
Works within a product management team focused on delivery, technology, and software development. Defines and ships products in an iterative manner in an Agile environment using Agile methodology.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Delivers new and evolving products and services.
- Designs experiences that address the needs of customers.
- Develops and acts on a roadmap that aligns with organizational priorities.
- Works across squads and product areas to deliver integrated solutions that enhance the digital experience of the customers.
- Drives business deliverables within the Product Development Life Cycle.
- Provides leadership and strong influence on the Agile team, business partners, and across multiple Agile teams by understanding the vision of the product area and giving input and direction to cross-business complexities.
- Brings a product from strategy to the marketplace through deep development lifecycle understanding.
- Focuses on and understand the customer experience end to end across multiple domains and product areas and identifies pain points while working across stakeholders to be able to communicate to multiple Agile teams.
- Manages large-scale initiatives with multiple streams of deliverables.
- Resolves challenges.
- Mitigates risks.
- Works through dependencies while collaborating with internal partners and external vendors to ensure milestones are met.
- Transforms product strategy into well-articulated business requirements and use cases.
- Uses qualitative and quantitative data effectively to inform product direction and prioritization.
- Designs and develops solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.
- Performs systems management and integration functions.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Platform Product Management (or a closely related occupation) leading cross-functional initiatives to design, develop, and implement product and process solutions for financial projects across various business units.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Platform Product Management (or closely related occupation) leading cross-functional initiatives to design, develop, and implement product and process solutions for financial projects across various business units.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) collaborating with key stakeholders to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for financial software products, utilizing Jira Align, Domo, and the Agile Fusion concept.
- DE conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and identifying opportunities for innovation through Design Thinking.
- DE delivering high-impact, customer-facing, high-availability online software products and services, using Agile@Scale configuration and distributed technologies to support financial portfolio construction and advisor model management.
- DE managing vendor relationships, providing analytical support to identify customer pain points, translating data into executive-level insights, and leading financial software product life cycle activities from discovery to value management.
