Roadway Maintenance Technician (Transportation Maint Tech) I/II/III: Mason (Austin District)

TxDOT's Austin District invites you to join our team as a Roadway Maintenance Technician (Transportation Maint Tech) I/II/III in Mason, Texas! This position will perform routine work related to transportation activities such as construction inspection, routine and contract maintenance inspection, bridge inspection and record keeping, roadway maintenance and repair, light and heavy equipment operation, preventive and minor maintenance on equipment, traffic control, assisting the public during emergency situations, and training other employees.
 

CDL Recruitment Bonus!
You may qualify for a one-time recruitment bonus up to $5,000 if you have a Class “A” CDL License (preferably with no transmission restrictions) at time of hire. You must maintain 12-month of continuous employment with TxDOT and meet all other conditions. Current and Previous permanent employees (does not include Summer Internships) do not qualify for the Recruitment Bonus. CDL Training Available!

Salary Plan/Grade:

This position is for ONE Roadway Maintenance/Trans Maintenance Tech I/II/III. The Texas Department of Transportation reserves the sole right in determining the level of the position based on the applicant’s work experience, education, skill level, and all other appropriate factors, and based on business needs.

Roadway Maintenance Tech/Trans Maintenance Tech I: A16 ($40,918.00 – $61,130.00/yearly)
Roadway Maintenance Tech/Trans Maintenance Tech II: A17 ($42,976.00 – $64,469.00/yearly)
Roadway Maintenance Tech/Trans Maintenance Tech III: A18 ($45,521.00 – $71,055.00/yearly)
