Deputy Editor, Marie Claire

Marie Claire US is seeking a Deputy Editor. Reporting to the Executive Editor, the Deputy Editor will be a key member of our senior editorial team, working across both print and digital, with an emphasis on features and steering  our Politics, Career, and Money coverage.

What you'll be doing

We’re looking for an experienced, conscientious editor who’s passionate about splashy long-form content, especially in the Marie Claire pillars of politics, career, and money; and is adept at working across print and digital.

You will;

• Work closely with our Executive Editor, to write, edit, and ideate for our print and digital issues, in addition to content packages and special projects. 
• Work closely with our Digital Director, to ideate, assign, and edit content for our Politics, Career, and Money verticals, and other verticals as needed
• Work with Executive Editor, ensure the smooth running of our special projects (features, content hubs, packages), including liaising with the Art, Social, and Commercial teams, among other teams
• Oversee our franchise programming in collaboration with editorial leads

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

• Experience in a senior editorial role
• Experience editing across print and digital
• At least 5 years of editing experience, including longform editing
• A roster of high-level writers
