The partnership includes overseeing the Raymond James Stadium food and beverage program development and management for concessions, suites, and premium areas for all game days. THE ROLE

The Catering Banquet Manager is an experienced hospitality leader who has a passion for organizing and executing special events catering.   This position plans and executes special events while coordinating with the event sales teams, internal departments, and customers to ensure consistent, high level service throughout events.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide catering clientele with information that requires a comprehensive knowledge of menus, company policies, practices and banquet operations
  • Hire and train Catering staff.
  • Ensure staffing schedules are completed and communicated for all catering events.
  • Complete weekly staff payroll.
  • Oversee the set-up and breakdown for all special event functions including space layout and design, equipment load-in, staff assignments
  • Oversee general cleaning tasks using standard products as assigned to adhere to health standards
  • Coordinate with clients, facilities, and culinary staff to ensure an excellent event experience
  • Create banquet event orders and estimation of charges for clients
  • Responsible for coordinating vendors and/or rentals
  • Responsible for receiving invoices and balancing event troubleshooting.
  • Provide appropriate documentation to accounting department to generate a post-event invoice
  • Perform related duties as assigned by Management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of premium services and catering for a sports and entertainment venue.
  • Minimum of (2) years in a catering manager role
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong commitment to delivering a high level of customer and client service with demonstrated initiative, leadership, and management skills
  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage menu, specials and services offered.
  • Ability to coach, train and develop efficient and successful team members.
  • Must be able to obtain food safety certification.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, team orientated setting.
  • Ability to read, speak and write in English.
  • Knowledge of catering event and diagram software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to identify operational challenges associated with his/her group and work with internal staff and client to solve these challenges and/or develop alternative solutions
  • Customer service oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.
  • Must have the ability to lift, push, pull approximately 50lbs.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be available for all Stadium events.
  • Must be able to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and additional job specific safety training.
  • Report all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) into the company’s risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day that the safety incident
