We are seeking a talented, innovative, and motivated Staff Signal Processing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing signal processing algorithms for our prognostics applications in vehicles. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of automotive technology and contribute to the development of next-generation prognostics systems.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement advanced signal processing techniques to detect, analyze, and predict potential faults or failures in vehicle components and systems.
Develop advanced signal processing methods for extracting relevant information from various vehicle sensors and data sources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data engineers, and domain experts, to integrate signal processing algorithms into our prognostics platform.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of signal processing algorithms using real-world vehicle data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Optimize signal processing algorithms for performance, scalability, and resource efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in signal processing techniques and automotive technologies, and integrate new methodologies into our prognostics systems as appropriate.
Additional Job Description
Required Qualifications:
Masters degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field; PhD preferred.
10+ years of proven working experience in signal processing algorithm development, preferably in the automotive industry.
10+ years of software development proficiency in MATLAB or Python with experience with Git version control.
Strong understanding of digital signal processing fundamentals, including filtering, spectral analysis, feature extraction, and time-series analysis.
Experience with vehicle sensor technologies, such as wheel speed sensors, accelerometers, cameras, etc.
Experience working with statistical models for the purpose of signal processing.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders Demonstrated technical creativity and development of intellectual property.
Demonstrated curiosity, critical thinking skills and flexibility.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience developing Machine Learning techniques.
Experience working in the field of prognostics health management.
Experience with physics-based simulation.
Experience with CANalyzer, INCA, Vehicle Spy, CarSim.
