Position: Technical Business AnalystStart Date: - ImmediateMinimum Term: - 6 months, renewable Position Description / RequirementsAs an integral part of the Global Life Business Technology team, the Technical Business Analyst will work with cross-functional stakeholders and external clients to understand their business needs and design, build, and operationalize the best-in-class solutions. This role is responsible for leading business requirements, analysis and testing phases of a project. Technical Business Analyst also contributes to the overall planning, technical design and implementation of a project including process changes. The Technical Business Analyst role is expected to work independently on multiple assignments with a sense of urgency, structure, and attention to detail. Position Responsibilities include: Provide analysis, technical design and planning activities for business and technology initiatives:o Determine and define project scope and objectiveso Perform and document requirements gathering and analysiso Design high level technical solutions including frontends, databases and interfaceso Facilitate business process changeso Manage the product development team to create a strong end producto Develop and implement test plans to ensure successful deliveryo Schedule and lead meetings to identify and correct issueso Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progresso Prepare solution for deployment including support staffing, documentation, maintenance procedures and training  Small to medium size projectso Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient mannero Prepare project budget and track costso Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan Partner with cross-functional users to maintain and develop high quality solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner Ability to work/meet during flexible hours.  This person will need to coordinate with international users across different time zones (USA, Europe and Asia). Collaborate with internal Technology resources to drive enterprise-wide strategies, procedures, and standards Provide end-users support including business queries and requests Provide technical assistance and cross training to business users and other team members Qualifications/Experience/Education Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Science or related field is preferred. Equivalent combination of experience, education and training will be considered 7 or more years of experience as product owner, business analyst or project manager of software development and BI related projects through the full life cycle required Product Owner and/or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification or equivalent is preferred Knowledge of Insurance or Re-insurance domain preferred Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is preferred Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline Strong working knowledge of SDLC and Agile development principles and processes Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical terminology, concepts and issues in terms understandable to technical and non-technical management and resource staff Ability to work collaboratively throughout the organization by establishing effective working relationships Creative and innovative thinker Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skillsGreat teams do amazing things, but truly diverse teams are the ones who can achieve extraordinary results, together.
