Job Description:

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a X-Plant Supply Chain Officer to join our X-Plant department based in Mobile, AL.

Ensure the end to end management of materials, parts and tools needed to complete plant and supplier outstanding work at FAL-Mobile. Communicate, manage and plan with stakeholders along the supply chain, logistics and transportation process, to ensure material delivery meets aircraft planning and milestones. Manage X-Plant hospital stock and materials at FAL-Mobile- ensure correct stock levels & relevance of material is maintained, current and accurately reflected in SAP systems to meet needs of the business.

Your working environment:

Nearby on ‘Airbus Way’ you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Your challenges:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage, oversee and secure an orderly & on-time flow of material, parts and tools needed for X-Plant activities- manage the demand placed by / with plants and suppliers - From plants and suppliers through to X-Plant Operations Teams.

  • Actively contribute to X-Plant and wider FAL planning by actively communicating/documenting material ordering and logistics status’ and secure visibility of material progress along each process step.

  • Manage stakeholders and work closely with support functions, procurement, HUB’s, Plants/Suppliers at various levels including senior leadership.
