Seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing Functional Medicine Clinic. This role will support healthcare providers in delivering both virtual and in-person care, focusing on functional medicine. The position offers a mix of remote telemedicine services and in-person visits at our clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual and in-person patient visits, gathering vital signs and health information.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and telemedicine standards.
  • Assist providers with patient education, medication management, and follow-up care for both virtual and in-person appointments.
  • Coordinate with Referral Coordinator to process patient referrals, scheduling, and ensure timely follow-up for all visits.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms and EMR systems to ensure continuity of care across both virtual and in-person settings.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

The following or equivalents are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

 

Education/Formal Training/Licensure/Certifications/Experience:

Graduate of an accredited program of Certified Medical Assistants or similar. Prefer at least one year of clinical experience, preferably in telemedicine or functional medicine.

 

Additional Skills:

Knowledge of functional medicine, medications, and their effects on patients. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Comfort with technology, EMR systems, and telehealth platforms. Age-specific skills for working with a diverse patient population.

 

Working Conditions:

Required work will be conducted on site with occasional travel between clinics as needed.

Physical Requirements: Ability to access telehealth platforms and maintain communication with patients and the clinic team. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely via in person and digital platforms.
