Requirements



Lead month end close process including preparing journal entries, reviewing overhead accounts and preparing and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations


Review revenue calculations at a project level and reconcile jobs in process


Mentor and assist several accounting team members


Assist with Management reporting and variance analysis


Oversee payment runs, expense coding and credit card reconciliations


Provide support to office managers, project managers, and project service coordinators


Assist with the annual financial audit


Coordinate with our tax accountants the preparation of tax information, manage sales and use tax reporting and various tax compliance reports


Assist with the annual FAR qualification audit


Review procedures for payables and receivables processes



 

Qualifications



Bachelor’s degree in accounting


7-10 years of relevant corporate accounting and/or audit experience


Strong Excel skills, including Vlookup and Pivot tables


Experience using Deltek Vision a plus


Experience with tax accounting and reporting


Strong understanding of project‑based financial management, including job costing, WIP schedules, and revenue recognition


Highly organized and detail oriented


Prior experience with an engineering, architecture, or construction firm a plus

Work Environment
