JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Mgr. IT Service Delivery, Meter to Bill/Meter to Cash(M2C) will serve as a key member of the IT Power Delivery Services leadership team with responsibility for the development and implementation of application services for the Meter to Cash value stream. The M2C Service Delivery Manager is responsible for the application portfolio which includes, but is not limited to, Entergy’s Advanced Meter Operations Center and Back Office Functions, Billing and Rates. These applications include Itron AMI Head End (UIQ), Siemen’s MDM EnergyIP and SAP’s I-SU.
The role is responsible for delivering assigned projects on time, on budget and with first-time quality and adherence to business requirements while standardizing and/or rationalizing technical platforms. The role provides operational oversight of the day-to-day support activities performed by Entergy’s outsourcing partners. The position will also have the responsibility to ensure IT is prepared to support all the major systems and processes in Meter to Cash.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
For the portfolio of application technologies supporting Power Deliver Services and M2C Operations:
- Manage a team of M2C applications Solution Architects, IT Consultants, and Business Analyst.
- Actively manage the supporting vendor(s) to ensure they are meeting stated services levels (requirements & quality), maintaining compliance with Entergy corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and stated standards (e.g., security, architecture, quality).
- Responsible for software contracts and renewals, ensuring that we are properly licensed to deliver the expected services
- Build strong relationships and coordinate with Program Managers, Service Delivery Managers, Enterprise Architecture (EA), and vendors to develop new capabilities and functionality and to enhance M2C Operations applications to meet business requirements in a timely, cost-effective manner.
- Develop strategic plans and roadmaps for new applications to support business objectives and increase the sharing of information across systems.
- Establish and maintain business relationships with customers to ensure alignment and a voice for the business within IT. Attend regular business meetings to provide IT updates including project status, major IT initiatives, and support status.
- Support major events as part of the Incident Management process to ensure systems are meeting expectations and facilitate timely resolution to system issues.
- Manage budget for projects and support agreements with a focus on cost savings while meeting or exceeding expected levels of support and capabilities.
- Provide resource planning and management within HR/Finance applications projects. Forecast potential impediments or gaps based on future demand expectations.
- Responsible for software contracts and renewals, ensuring that we are properly licensed to deliver the expected services
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or other technical area of study or equivalent work experience; advanced degree a plus.
Minimum experience required of the position
7+ years of experience managing application development and/or operational processes.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
- Previous experience with supporting Meter to Cash systems and the applications listed above.
- Experience in project and service delivery in outsourced and cosourced environments
- Stakeholder management and high-level communications
- Strong working knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, cross-functional groups, and technical teams
- Managing project implementations and related budgets, personnel, risk and contingency plans
- Vendor oversight and management including experience in outsourcing and offshore support
- Strong understanding of the M2C business and company strategy
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
