Legend Biotech is seeking Associate Director of Infrastructure Operations as part of the IT team based in Somerset, New Jersey.
Role Overview
As a core member of critical infrastructure at Legend Bio Tech, you will be a key member of the infrastructure operations and leadership team regularly interacting with leaders and support with the management of infrastructure ranging from Network to Servers, Storage, Database and Operating Systems On-Prem and in cloud ensuring systems and applications uptime. Primary responsibilities of the position include leading the technical direction of Servers, Data services, including storage, Backup, Disaster Recovery and 24 x 7 global operations. You will provide expertise and technical leadership while collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, SMEs, operations teams, customers, and all levels of management to execute on strategic and tactical goals. Candidates should be able to manage and direct vendor teams as required in planning, design and operational support of these platforms and services. The candidate must have subject matter expertise with the details of systems and technologies that span the spectrum of this position. As an Architect a detailed understanding of RDBMS technologies, enterprise storage, Service Now and technologies, industry trends and the broader enterprise technology landscape is paramount. The core objective of the organization, of which you will be a part, is to support delivery of the broader Enterprise Applications by aligning customer and business requirements with fit-for-purpose solutions that work reliably, scale, are administratively efficient, and support global transparency and fulfillment-automation objectives in a GxP and non-GxP environment across multiple geographic locations. The span of responsibilities includes the various systems platforms at Legend Biotech (Unix, Wintel, Databases, etc.). This requires deep knowledge of the enterprise architecture, and requires ensuring ongoing evaluation and testing of the operating effectiveness of business processes. This role acts as a deep subject matter expert in Service Now implementation, Cloud and On-Prem Infrastructure and storage technologies/solutions within the environment are operating effectively, sized properly, and evolving in alignment with changing business requirements. This requires the ability to provide hands on installation and support for Servers, SAN storage and other IT infrastructure, as well as the ability to lead, coach and guide engineers from Legend Biotech and other vendors. Experience and deep knowledge in production systems environment is required holding vendors accountable by XLA’s analyzing SLA’s and KPI’s.Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a good understanding of our corporate direction as it relates to the IT Infrastructure environment and provide the necessary technical strategy to help achieve our corporate goals.
- Management and support of operating systems and hardware platforms, including patch management and implementation. •
- Be a ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert enhancing Service Now at Legend Biotech with sound understanding of ITSM & ITOM principles
- Implement and manage storage solutions tailored to specific client deliverables, including performance targets, multi-site replication, and targeted capacity management and reporting tools
- Ensure the availability, reliability, scalability, and manageability of the data storage environment •
- Maintain a high degree of technical proficiency in operating systems and hardware platforms in use. Ensure all operating systems and hardware platforms are performing to peak efficiency.
- Provide the necessary expertise with storage subsystems and software, including storage arrays, Brocade fiber switches, SAN design implementation, and maintenance. •
- Plan and report on the collection and maintenance of systems’ performance statistics.
- Assist in the planning and management of capacity requirements.
