Sr. Economics Project Analyst

In this role you will provide specialized support to the Economic Research Department project, program or business unit managers in the administration of assigned projects. You may be assigned to one project or to coordinate multiple projects/work activities within a program/project or business unit.

Responsibilities: 

  • Support conference and seminar events. Event management activities include logistics, travel, and budget
  • Committee on Research Support Management (CRSM). Actively participate and support the committee in meetings and conference calls and represent economic research community views on administrative issues
  • Specializing in at least one area of project management or business unit activities
  • Assists business unit or project manager in creating, implementing, managing and documenting key areas, including but not limited to: project planning, scheduling, budgeting, organizing and/or project research
  • Helps to ensure that project and work activities are completed in accordance with defined business unit standards and delivered according to established deadlines
  • Board of Directors and FOMC coordination and management
  • Organize and manage the Department’s FOMC process and ER products for the BOD. Activities include but are not limited to: scheduling, maintenance, and distribution of classified content; insuring audit and security compliance regarding document distribution and destruction; and coordinating with the Office of the Secretary for the Board regarding ER personnel and products

Requirements:

  • Typically, 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to exercise strong judgement with sensitive/confidential data 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders 
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills 
  • Excellent priority setting skills with the flexibility and adaptability to respond to shifting business needs and ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • This position requires access to confidential FOMC and or/supervisory information, which is limited to "Protected Individuals" as defined in the U.S. federal immigration law. Protected Individuals include, but are not limited to, U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and U.S. permanent residents who either are not yet eligible to apply for naturalization or who have applied for naturalization within the requisite timeframe. Candidates who are not U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents may be eligible for the information access required for this position if they sign a declaration of intent to become a U.S. citizen and lawful permanent resident and meet other eligibility requirements.

Base Salary Range: Min: $84,000 - Mid: $109,000 - Max: $134,000 (Location: San Francisco)

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
