Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the stability, functionality, and security of in-house computer software systems and network connections across local and remote environments.
  • Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize network software, communications links, and application infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve end-user software issues, system connectivity problems, and general technical faults in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Deliver end-user training and technical documentation to enhance system usability and adoption across the organization.
  • Support routine and ad-hoc maintenance activities, including upgrades, patches, system migrations, and the deployment of new software and hardware solutions.
  • Recommend and implement improvements in technology infrastructure to align with enterprise IT strategy and business goals.
  • Provide advanced support for application networking, including configuring and managing load balancing, fault tolerance, and system failover strategies.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and apply appropriate mitigation strategies to maintain system integrity and compliance with cybersecurity policies.
  • Perform hands-on server and application management across geographically distributed operational environments.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Experience

  • Seven (7) years of progressive experience in Information Processing, with:
    • At least six (6) years specialized in a range of hardware/software solutions.
    • A minimum of four (4) years of direct, hands-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with software systems.

 

Certifications

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certification
    • COMPTIA Security+ CE 
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) 
    • COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) 
    • Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Global Industriel Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) 
    • Global Information Assurance Certification (GAIC) Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) 
    • Certified Network Defender (CND) 
    • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) 

 

  • Relevant certification from a nationally recognized authourity

 

  • DLA CE Certification IA Role/Function 
    • Azure Administrator Associate 
    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations Certified Associate or AWS/Google cloud certifications

Clearance

Must possess a Secret clearance with a favorable NACLC and be eligible for a Top-Secret IT-I (Tier 5/SSBI) Critical-Sensitive clearance.
