What you will do:
We are looking for a POPULATION HEALTH EPIDEMIOLOGIST who can help shape our vision and support our mission. Here is what the position will look like.
• Collect, clean, and analyze large healthcare datasets, including medical and pharmacy claims, clinical registries, and social needs data.
• Conduct descriptive and inferential statistical analyses to evaluate utilization, outcomes, and cost-effectiveness.
• Design and execute analyses aligned with intervention goals and key performance indicators in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings and support decision-making.
• Create and maintain operational and outcomes reporting for chronic condition management programs.
• Analyze rising- and high-risk populations and program performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support the design and implementation of evidence-based programs tailored to member needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT Analytics, Medical Directors, Care Coordination, Quality Improvement, Community Engagement, Practice Support, and Member Experience.
• Communicate findings and updates through presentations, dashboards, and written reports.
• Maintain expertise in population health trends, data methodologies, and best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:

Education: Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Health Economics, Epidemiology or a related field is required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree in related area preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare data analytics, population health, or health plan operations, with a strong foundation in statistics or epidemiology. Prior experience with Medicaid, Child Health Plan Plus, and models such as CDPS and Johns Hopkins ACG is highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Possesses a deep understanding of public and population health concepts, with demonstrated experience applying analytic methods to support strategic initiatives and improve health outcomes. Skilled in working with complex datasets, including healthcare claims and publicly available data (e.g., American Community Survey). Proficiency in tools such as MS SQL, PowerBI and other statistical packages, and with demonstrated expertise in predictive modeling, risk stratification, and outcome evaluation. Skilled in analyzing healthcare claims data and familiar with medical coding systems like ICD, CPT, and HCPCS. Strong analytical capabilities, including cost-effectiveness analysis and ROI evaluation, with the ability to communicate findings clearly through written reports and presentations. Proven ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and contribute to organizational goals through data-driven insights. A quick learner with strong adaptability, comfortable navigating uncertainty and complexity in dynamic health plan environments. Demonstrates support for the company’s mission, vision and values.
