The Director, Corporate Sustainability - Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) is a leader within the corporate sustainability team and reports into the Executive Director, Sustainability. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing sustainability reporting initiatives and the development of key metrics to measure and track sustainability performance.
**Onsite Role In Racine, WI.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads the development and implementation of the company’s sustainability reporting framework, working closely with senior leadership and other key internal stakeholders.
- Defines sustainability KPIs and metrics, establishing connectivity between internal data and externally defined standards/guidelines.
- Collaborates cross-functionally develop reporting standards and tools; ensures processes and controls are in place to collect, validate, and analyze sustainability reporting data elements.
- Monitors sustainability performance trends, regularly assessing and benchmarking the organization's sustainability performance against industry peers, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay abreast of evolving sustainability disclosure requirements and reporting guidelines and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
- Works closely with Corporate Finance (on auditing/assurance of sustainability reporting) and Shared Service Centers (to support preparation of reporting)
- Leads sustainability reporting governance, working across BUs/functions to monitor the corporate sustainability framework and related workstreams.
- Monitor emerging trends, developments, and best practices in ESG reporting, sustainability disclosure, and corporate governance, and incorporate relevant insights into our ESG reporting strategy and practices.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, finance, business analytics, or related field; advanced degree highly preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience leading corporate governance, ESG or compliance reporting, sustainability disclosure, preferably with a global company.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS
- Understanding of ESG principles, frameworks, and reporting standards (GRI, CSRD, etc.) and their application within the context of corporate reporting and disclosure.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to lead teams working with data analysis tools and software (Excel, Tableau, SAP, Power BI)
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex ESG concepts and data to diverse audiences.
- Leadership experience with a track record of driving change, fostering collaboration, and building consensus across organizational levels.
