Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly motivated professional to join as a Manager, Contracts to support our Airbus portfolio contracts team.  You will manage complex contracts and assist with the development of less experienced contracts professionals. Recommend legal and commercial strategy in support of business interests. Communicate and influence senior leadership regarding matters of significant importance. Improve department processes through the application of deep knowledge and experience in the contracts function.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for the drafting, generation, interpretation and management of complex contract documents, in accordance with internal and external requirements.

• Collaborate with internal functional groups to ensure contract compliance and determine commercial strategies.

• Provide contract analysis and white papers/position summaries on complex contractual issues for leadership review in preparation for customer negotiation.

• Advise the organization on issues concerning contract matters.

• Perform contract/commercial negotiations, contract administration, and customer contract activities to support business initiatives and strategies.

• Travel up to 10%, domestic and international.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here:  https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

• Experience in contract administration with an understanding of contract terms and conditions, commercial quoting, business writing and customer relationship management.

• Contracts Management Certification

• High-level business acumen with ability to recognize risk elements in business transactions.

• Professional presence complemented by outstanding written and verbal communication skills and influencing skills.

• Flexible and capable of multi-tasking while delivering timely, high-quality products.

• Ability to effectively work in an Integrated Product Team environment.

• Focus on responsiveness with strong time management and organizational skills.

• Previous experience in Aerospace.

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Adobe.
