Job Description

Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a Study Director/Pollinator Study Lead to join our team in Mebane, NC.   

Study Director/Pollinator Study Lead responsibilities include: 

  • Direct overall planning and implementation of pollinator exposure programs in the US
  • Coordinate and/or execute any or all of the following pre-trial activities: (i) develop study protocol; (ii) develop the raw data file notebook; (iii) request proposals from field investigators; (iv) negotiate contracts with field investigators; (v) arrange for materials (protocols, raw data files, test substance, adjuvants, boxes, bags, etc.) to be provided to the field investigators; (vi) coordinate pre-qualification activities at the site; and (vii) assist field investigators as necessary to assure the prompt and proper initiation of the field research.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) to address GLP compliance at the field investigator facilities.
  • Able to travel, often at short notice, to make frequent visits to test sites (including outside of the US), to carry out study conduct and/or facility related activities and provide training to other members of staff.
  • Compile study reports in a timely manner for client for submissions to regulatory agencies in the US and around the world

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would have: 

  • Ability to complete and deliver research trails as assigned.
  • Ability to conduct the performance of regulatory analytical studies.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Willing to learn new skills, well organized, capable of adapting to a broad spectrum of responsibilities and able to maintain meticulous and accurate records.
  • Extensive knowledge of bee keeping skills and pollinator exposure research.
  • Able to work outside standard business hours, according to team/business workloads

Basic Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in entomology, ecotoxicology, biology, or relevant life science.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management or pollinator research
  • Computer proficiency and instrumentation skills.
  • Regulatory understanding of EPA and OECD requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of GLP, and preferably, have experience as a Principal Investigator
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
