What are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly qualified part-time Residential Counselor for the Serenity House Community Re-integration program. This OASAS-certified program provides a supportive, structured, sober living environment for individuals in recovery from substance use disorder. Residential Counselors support each Resident’s progress towards the goals outlined in their individualized service plans and help maintain a safe environment in the home. 

Your overall essential responsibilities will be the following:

• Prioritizing best practices in person-centered care concerning each resident’s individual dignity and integrity, including their unique goals.
• Taking care of and ensuring that our residents are safe and taken care of.
• Provide orderliness, cleanliness, and structure to the program’s day-to-day operations.
• Developing, fostering, and maintaining positive, collaborative relationships with residents, their families, and the SJCS team

Physical and environmental conditions include:

• The work requires no unusual demand for physical effort but is an active position.

The hiring range for this position ranges from $20 to $21 per hour and is dependent on experience.

We are seeking part-time coverage for the following shift:

• Third Shift: 12 AM - 8AM part-time
