Senior Underwriter Accident & Health

As a Senior Underwriter specializing in Accident & Health (A&H), you will manage complex cases, providing technical underwriting expertise and developing business strategies that ensure profitable growth. This role requires extensive experience in underwriting and a solid understanding of the A&H product space, ideally across the Nordics.

How you will create an impact

• Risk Assessment: Lead the underwriting for A&H products, ensuring decisions align with business goals and risk appetite.

• Portfolio Management: Oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, focusing on new business and renewals.

• Broker Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, ensuring long-term profitable growth.

• Problem-Solving: Take ownership of underwriting challenges and resolve them in a timely and professional manner.

• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of underwriting decisions.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Underwriting Expertise: Solid understanding of A&H products and risk management.

• Broker Relationships: Proven ability to build and manage relationships with brokers to drive business growth.

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess risk and make data-driven underwriting decisions.

• Problem-Solving: Take ownership of underwriting challenges and resolve them professionally and in a timely manner.

• Communication & Negotiation: Effective communicator with the ability to negotiate favorable terms and collaborate with internal teams.

• Languages: Fluent in Swedish, with strong English proficiency.

Meet the Nordic A&H Team

The Nordic Accident & Health team consists of 26 professionals spread across the Nordics, focusing on Group and Individual A&H. Our product suit consists of Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Cash either stand alone or through payment and/or bill protection solutions together with Business Travel and Expatriate Insurances. We prioritize collaboration, strategic alignment, and shared success, and we work closely with other departments and lines of business across the company – particularly our partners in Affinity, Distribution, Underwriting Operations, and Claims.
