Maintenance Helper

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for timely repairs to equipment to ensure production can run with little or no interruption.  Also, responsible for repairs to the facility as directed.

• Assists with electrical installations, fabrications, and mechanical repairs within the Plant and on equipment
• Basic carpentry skills, building repair, and painting groundskeeping to include using outdoor power equipment
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Becomes familiar with all plant equipment
• Accounts for materials and parts used on the job by logging them into the inventory usage logbook
• Must be available for overtime and weekend work, as needed
• Responsible for following Company and government policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to:  GMP’s, food safety, equipment and area sanitation, food security, plant security, etc.
• Adheres to common safety practices, including the wearing of protective equipment and clothing as required.
• Performs other assignments as assigned by the Maintenance Manager and Plant Manager 

• Must be able to read and follow schematics and design basic electrical control circuits
• Must have a working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
• Capable of handling all aspects of programing, troubleshooting down to component levels of Hayssen packaging equipment
• Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Ability to perform all levels of maintenance
• Good communication skills.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• 10-hour shift
