Job Description
Duties:
- Participate as part of a ‘squad’ aligned to the Performance and Risk capabilities, in the role of Technical Analyst and Engineer
- Assist with review and estimation of Product Backlogs
- Work closely with clients to understand and document business requirements and to gain a thorough understanding of the business processes
- Co-ordinate with multiple data source teams in getting data published to BI Datawarehouse
- Design, prototype and implement innovative, scalable technical solutions, which follow established design patterns and minimize technical support
- Work closely with disparate groups of technical and business partners to collate and manage requirements for investment Data Warehouse
- Develop, test, and deploy solutions based on these requirements using ETL technologies, such as Informatica and Python
- Be responsible for creation of artefacts to support each stage of the software development lifecycle (e.g requirements, solution design, testing documentation and support knowledge base articles)
- Conduct thorough Unit & System Testing, support QA and UAT phases
- Perform troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution for BAU issues including co-ordination with vendors, across our Investments Warehouse solution (ETL, warehousing and BI)
- Coordinate with user, technology and infrastructure groups to optimize ETL, warehouse and reporting performance
- Act as lead on initiatives or smaller parts of larger programs of work
- Leverage prototypes / proof of concepts to quickly bottom-out ambiguous business and technology problems.
Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, IT related technical field.
- Must have 5 years of progressive experience in software engineering or IT consulting roles performing/utilizing the following:
- Development and implementation in data warehousing, including ETL, data model design and data distribution through BI and APIs
- Interaction with business users through the development lifecycle
- Working within the Asset Management domain, particularly within Investments and Risk Technologies, OTCs, and Derivative products.
- ETL tools including Informatica, IDQ, and Talend.
- SQL to build stored procedures, functions, packages, and complex dimensional and Fact table structures using SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake.
- Python for Data Science and Computation
- Working within a fast-paced, Agile environment.
- Must have 3 years of experience with:
- Building data ingestion and processing pipelines using AWS, Python, Apache managed airflow, DBT CLI, DBT Cloud, Air byte.
- Snowflake cloud data warehouse using streams, tasks, stored procedures, and complex SQL queries.
- Processing complex data structures (XML, JSON, and PDF) using Python.
- AWS services, including AWS S3, Glue, Red shift, Lambda, Step functions, SNS, SQS.
- Building data migration pipelines using Air Byte, AWS DMS, Five Tran from legacy databases.
- Data transformation DBT and Matillion.
- Automation of workflows using Bitbucket.
- Building data validation frameworks using Great Expectations and DBT testing frameworks.
- Leading small technical projects.

- Position may be eligible to work hybrid/remotely but is based out of and reports to Invesco offices in Atlanta, GA. Must be available to travel to Atlanta, GA regularly for meetings and reviews with manager and project teams within 24-hours’ notice.
