JOB SUMMARY 

The Employee Benefits Account Processor works under the support and direction of the Account Management team and Risk Advisors, processing day-to-day service requests associated with employee benefits accounts.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES

  • Provide timely, accurate, and courteous support to the account management team, ensuring service requests meet company standards and data integrity expectations
  • Process incoming requests and assigned tasks efficiently, documenting actions appropriately
  • Assist in preparing small group benefit comparisons and summaries for account managers 
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with partner insurance carriers
  • Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system and shared platforms
  • Collaborate in a centralized, team-based environment that values communication and shared accountability 
  • Uphold high standards of data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance 
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and process improvement initiatives 
  • Follow all applicable federal and state regulations, and best practices for minimizing errors and omissions 

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management

Requirements

 

QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

  • A combination of education and experience generally attained through a high school degree, bachelor’s degree and working experience in insurance or another service industry 
  • Ability to obtain & maintain an insurance license 
  • Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and organizational skills 
  • Effective communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset 
  • Comfortable working in shared systems (e.g., Vertafore) and ability to adapt to evolving workflows

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Perform under normal office conditions; may include lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and reach frequently
  • Hear, speak, and effectively verbally communicate in the English language, including following oral and written instructions to communicate with people inside and outside of the organization
  • Sit and a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer
  • Move around office/building/facilities repeatedly throughout the day
  • Apply manual dexterity, visual acuity and ability, for computer keyboarding, office equipment uses, review of detailed reports, information, fine print, and warning labels
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and be able to travel to different North Risk Partners locations for meetings, as well as various locations throughout the state and potentially the region for client meetings
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime, nights, and weekends to attend events and meetings as needed
